At the center of the exhibition stand is an automated grid shear that efficiently shreds production waste from laser and stamping processes before it is sorted and reintroduced into the recycling loop. Visitors can experience the functionality of the recycling solution on a large screen at the exhibition stand.
"In modern sheet metal processing, efficient material flows and responsible resource management are becoming increasingly important," explains Uwe Becher, Senior Manager Sales Conveyor- and Protection Systems at KABELSCHLEPP. "With our grid shear, we demonstrate how leftover grid sheets can be upgraded to valuable, pure secondary raw materials, allowing companies to make their processes more economical and sustainable at the same time."
Prepare leftover grid sheets in a pure manner and recover materials
Laser and stamping processes regularly produce leftover grid sheets, the handling of which is cumbersome in many companies due to their formats. At the same time, these production residues contain valuable metals that can be used for the recycling loop. KABELSCHLEPP's new recycling solution specifically taps into this potential. The leftover sheets are automatically shredded using the grid shear and then sorted by material types.
Through pure preparation, high-quality fractions are created that can be reused as secondary raw materials in the melting process. The processing-friendly geometry of the shredded materials improves marketing opportunities and allows for higher revenues for the recovered materials. In addition to economic advantages, the technology makes an important contribution to sustainability: By reintroducing metals into the recycling loop, energy consumption and CO₂ emissions can be significantly reduced compared to the extraction of primary raw materials.
Efficient material cycles for the metal processing industry
With the grid shear, KABELSCHLEPP supports companies in optimizing material flows, reducing disposal efforts, and better utilizing existing resources. The solution can be operated autonomously or integrated into existing production and material flow concepts. This creates a flexible system that can adapt to different requirements in sheet metal processing.
At EuroBLECH 2026, KABELSCHLEPP experts will provide information on technical possibilities, integration concepts, and the economic potentials of the solution, including a subsequent individual ROI consideration for the professional visitor.
