Bystronic has announced that it has reached an agreement to acquire Isochronic AG. The Swiss automation company specializes in high-speed robotic systems and software for sheet metal processing. Isochronic will continue to operate under its own name in the market. The acquisition expands Bystronic's automation portfolio and strengthens the strategic focus on integrated manufacturing solutions that meet the increasing customer demands for productivity, flexibility, and efficiency.

Isochronic was founded in 2020 and is headquartered near Lausanne, Switzerland. The company develops advanced robotic systems for automated material handling and sorting, allowing for simultaneous gripping and placing of parts. The company's proprietary technology combines innovative robot kinematics with a self-developed software platform.
Isochronic's technology enhances Bystronic's capabilities in automated sorting for a wide range of sheet formats, including large and heavy parts. Furthermore, it complements the portfolio with
modern software architectures and robotics expertise. Bystronic's industrial expertise and global presence will support the further development and broader introduction of Isochronic technology. The combination of both companies will accelerate the development of the next generation of automation solutions and further strengthen Bystronic's offerings for customers with highly automated production environments.

«We have maintained a close relationship with Isochronic for many years. Their innovative technology perfectly complements our automation portfolio», says Domenico Iacovelli, CEO of Bystronic. «The expertise in high-speed robotic sorting and software development enhances our ability to provide integrated manufacturing solutions that create measurable value for our customers.»

«We are very much looking forward to this next step together with Bystronic», says Armin Haller, CEO of Isochronic. «Our teams share the same passion for innovation and customer success. Together, we will further develop our technology, accelerate innovations, and make our automation solutions accessible to an even broader customer base.»

As part of the acquisition, Bystronic acquires the rights to Isochronic's proprietary software and technology. This enables the further development of the technology and its integration into Bystronic's automation portfolio.
