With this investment, TRUMPF strengthens its business in France and expands its offerings in the fields of machine tools and laser technology. 'France is an important market for TRUMPF. With our new headquarters, we are investing in the future of our customers and creating a place where modern manufacturing technologies and personal exchange come together,' says Nicola Leibinger-Kammüller, CEO of TRUMPF. The festive opening was attended by other members of the TRUMPF board as well as the German ambassador to France, Stephan Steinlein.
Showcase for digitization and networking
TRUMPF technologies are used in numerous industries such as the semiconductor industry, aerospace, and sheet metal processing. There, the company's lasers enable precise cutting, welding, drilling, or labeling of complex components. In the automotive industry, machine tools process body and structural parts made of sheet metal, while lasers take on high-precision cutting and welding tasks.
In the new showroom in Villepinte, customers can experience TRUMPF machine tools and lasers in operation and learn about digital software solutions and services. 'The new location allows us to support companies on their path to connected manufacturing. Digital solutions, robotics, and artificial intelligence are key to better utilizing machines, making processes more transparent, and increasing the competitiveness of our French customers,' says Stephan Mayer, CEO of TRUMPF machine tools.
45 years of TRUMPF in France
In addition to the showroom, the new building features a spacious training area. 'In Villepinte, we bring our customers and our teams together. The close connection to the manufacturing industry has characterized TRUMPF France for more than 45 years,' says Gilles Caquot, President of TRUMPF France. The French subsidiary employs 160 staff members. In the 2025/2026 fiscal year, it achieved a revenue in the low three-digit million range.
In addition to the headquarters in Villepinte, TRUMPF operates a production site in Hagenau in Alsace.
Sustainable industrial design
The new building is constructed in a wood-concrete construction method and includes approximately 2,700 square meters of usable space across several floors. The property extends over approximately 5,000 square meters. TRUMPF commissioned the Berlin architecture firm Barkow Leibinger to design the French headquarters, which combines offices, seminar rooms, storage areas, and a showroom. 80 photovoltaic modules on the roof achieve an installed capacity of 33.2 kilowatts. With a length of 140 meters each, 13 geothermal probes utilize the heat stored in the ground to heat the building.
