ChemValve-Schmid AG is consistently advancing its proven ChemLine product family in response to the increasing demands of the chemical and process industries. New solutions for low-temperature applications, PFAS-free processes, and expanded execution and accessory variants offer plant operators more flexibility, high operational reliability, and economic advantages.
Reliable operation even at low temperatures
A focus of the product development is the expansion of the application range of the PTFE-lined shut-off valve for low-temperature applications.
‘Low temperatures present particular challenges for lined valves. Many materials become harder and more brittle under these conditions, increasing the mechanical stress on the components and significantly raising the required actuation moments. Through targeted modifications to the relevant components, we have managed to compensate for these effects. The result is a valve that ensures reliable sealing, high durability, and simultaneously low actuation moments even in low-temperature applications.’

For plant operators, this means reliable operation even under demanding temperature conditions. At the same time, the reduced actuation moments allow for a more efficient design of drives and operating concepts. This can lead to lower planning, operating, and maintenance costs, as well as a sustainable reduction in the overall operating costs of the plant.
PFAS-free solutions for future requirements
With a PFAS-free valve solution, ChemValve-Schmid has successfully established a forward-looking alternative in the market. It is suitable for applications where the respective process conditions allow the use of PFAS-free materials. This provides operators with additional leeway to consider sustainability goals, internal material strategies, or future regulatory requirements.
The PFAS-free shut-off valve is fully integrated into the proven ChemFlyer product family. Users benefit from the same technical platform as well as the high availability and cost-effectiveness that already characterize the established PTFE standard versions.
More flexibility through new designs and accessories
The product portfolio has also been specifically expanded. Shut-off valves and ball valves will soon be optionally available with stainless steel cast housings. This makes them suitable for highly corrosive environments without the need for additional housing coatings.
An ergonomically optimized hand lever has also been developed for the ball valve ChemBall. The new design is based on customer feedback and improves operability in daily plant operation.
The portfolio is complemented by self-developed and manufactured spindle extensions. They enable the flexible combination of different drives, gears, and hand levers and are available in customer-specific lengths. Project-specific requirements can thus be implemented economically and with short delivery times.

In parallel with the further development of the ChemLine product family, the company is working on the market introduction of another lined valve as well as the next generation of the check valve ChemDisc. Both product innovations will be presented for the first time at the Valve World Expo 2026 in Düsseldorf.
