Exchange with international AI experts
The collaboration with IPAI enables TRUMPF to access international AI committees from various disciplines. Here, TRUMPF's experts can exchange ideas and learn from peers on equal footing, for example, in modern software development with generative AI. In addition, IPAI offers real laboratory spaces to test and further develop AI-based solutions. TRUMPF intends to use this to train robots for complex handling tasks in sheet metal manufacturing.
Numerous AI solutions from TRUMPF already on the market
TRUMPF has already launched a variety of AI applications for manufacturing. This includes, for example, the 'SortMaster Vision'. In this solution for sheet metal manufacturing, an AI-based robot independently sorts components and assigns them to the correct order. Another example is the 'VisionLine Inspect' technology to check the quality of weld seams, for instance, in applications for electromobility.
