OVE Plasmatec expands its range of PFAS-free coatings. The recently released new product OVE27T is a two-component paint and proves to be a true all-rounder. With tested very good values regarding friction, insertion forces, and wear, it convinces users of elastomer seals from various industries. The new product is available in many colors and optionally also electrically conductive. It replaces a proven universal paint and demonstrates the innovative strength of the Swabian experts as a high-performance PFAS-free and LABS-compliant coating alternative.

"With the performance values that we have intensively tested and approved, OVE27T is on par with its PTFE predecessor," emphasizes Bettina Kremer, Managing Director of OVE Plasmatec. The new PFAS-free two-component sliding paint OVE27T based on water has undergone the demanding internal testing and approval routines of OVE and can demonstrate low insertion forces, low friction, and low wear. In addition, it is chemically resistant to many media and continues to score with very good temperature behavior, robust resistance to weathering, and convincing cost-effectiveness. Thus, OVE27T is an ideal PFAS-free coating alternative for seals made of EPDM, NBR, or FKM elastomers. It can also be used to coat silicone seals.

Available in colors and suitable for automatic assembly

Seals coated with the new paint are highly recommended for automated feeding into assembly. They do not build up static electricity, do not stick together, and are therefore well separable for feeding. As OVE27x, the coating is available in eight colors: yellow, orange, red, green, blue, white, violet, and gray. This facilitates recognition by cameras for differentiation and identification in automated assembly processes in many applications.

The basis for a coating at OVE Plasmatec always includes thorough cleaning. Especially with plasma cleaning, the company has been achieving the best and deep pore results for years. This makes seals with the new paint also LABS-compliant. The coater sees ideal application possibilities for both static and dynamic applications in many industries. These primarily include, for example, the automotive industry, machinery and plant engineering, as well as the furniture industry or medical technology.

Extreme tests produce high-performance coatings

OVE Plasmatec has been offering PFAS-free coatings for elastomers for years. Due to the changed legal regulations, universal bestsellers have increasingly been replaced by PFAS-free alternatives in the last two years. In doing so, the experts exclusively use paints that smoothly pass their own rigorous tests. These include, for example, extreme stretching, bending up to 180°, or immersion in various chemical media. All PFAS-free paints from OVE Plasmatec are characterized by universal or special applications in their use case and ensure the sustainable, long-lasting functionality of devices, aggregates, and machines. "And all of this is environmentally and health-friendly without PFAS," emphasizes Bettina Kremer in conclusion.
