The Supervisory Board of the machine factory Berthold HERMLE AG has appointed Jürgen Oswald (49) as a member of the Board of Directors effective November 1, 2026. He will take over the position from Günther Beck (65), who will leave the committee on October 31, 2026, upon the expiration of his contract due to retirement. This continues HERMLE's long-term succession planning and ensures an early smooth transition and continuity in the three-member board. The board also includes Benedikt Hermle (Production, Service, Human Resources) and, from January 1, 2026, Kai Bacher (Sales, Design & Development).

Jürgen Oswald has been working at HERMLE since 2022, initially as Head of Controlling and since January 1, 2025, as General Authorized Representative. From November 1, 2026, he will take over the areas of Finance, Information Processing, and Materials Management on the board. His employment contract, which initially runs for three years, was signed this week. Before his work for HERMLE, Jürgen Oswald studied Business Administration and Business Law and held various positions in international industrial companies.
Günther Beck began his 30-year career at HERMLE in 1994 as Head of Accounting and was appointed to the board of the machine factory Berthold HERMLE AG in the same year. He will leave upon the expiration of his employment contract on October 31, 2026.
The Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Dietmar Hermle, expressly thanks Günther Beck on behalf of the entire Supervisory Board for his extraordinary contributions and high commitment and wishes him all the best for the future. 'In the past decades,' Dietmar Hermle continued, 'he has significantly contributed to the success of HERMLE AG. At the same time, we look forward to working with Jürgen Oswald. He brings extensive experience from various roles, including in mechanical engineering companies, and is a highly competent successor.'
