Three VDWF events will take place at the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Systems and Design Technology IPK in Berlin at the end of June. In addition to the two-day practical forum 'Additive Manufacturing' and a new edition of the 'Eroding Meeting' series, which was successfully launched last year, there will also be a 'Milling Meeting' for the first time. Furthermore, participants from all three events will have the opportunity to network at a joint evening event in the capital.
The VDWF 'Milling Meeting' will celebrate its premiere on June 26. Working group leader Rainer Dangel will welcome the participants at the Fraunhofer IPK, where several experts will subsequently give presentations on specialized topics such as production planning software or programming.
Like other events of the association, the Milling Meeting aims to strengthen dialogue in the industry and provide a space for actors from mostly small and medium-sized enterprises or from internal tool and mold making departments to connect with each other. 'With the Milling Meeting, we offer another platform for experts and users. Here they can exchange ideas and share their knowledge or experience,' explains VDWF Managing Director Ralf Dürrwächter.
Knowledge exchange and networking at three parallel events
The already successfully established 'Eroding Meeting', which also takes place on the same day at the Fraunhofer IPK, serves as such a platform. The event aims to promote the exchange between professionals from the EDM segment. The program includes technical presentations, best practice examples, and the presentation of technical equipment.
The trio of VDWF events is completed by the practice forum 'Additive Manufacturing', which also starts on June 26. It is taking place for the fourth time and brings together participants from tool, mold, and prototype construction under the leadership of Prof. Julian Polte and Prof. Stefan Roth. In eleven technical presentations, speakers will report on the latest developments from the additive industry during the two days of the event. A get-together and a visit to a concurrent trade exhibition promise further exciting insights.
Three events with a joint evening event
At all three events, participants will have the opportunity to exchange their experiences on various levels and discuss current developments in their fields. Of course, there will be sufficient breaks as well as culinary catering. A planned tour of the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Systems and Design Technology IPK rounds off the program of the three events.
The informal highlight will certainly be the evening event, where participants of the three events will come together. 'All participants will have another opportunity to network over food and drinks in the unique atmosphere of the capital,' announces Dürrwächter.
Registration for the Milling Meeting, Eroding Meeting, and Practice Forum 'Additive Manufacturing' is possible at www.vdwf.de/termine. The exact program of all three events will be announced later. The VDWF looks forward to a large turnout.
