The drive specialist Flender has once again achieved a top rating in the current sustainability rating from EcoVadis, continuing to be among the best 1 percent of all companies rated worldwide. With 88 out of 100 points, Flender has achieved Platinum status as in previous years. This confirms the company's high standards in the areas of environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. For customers and business partners, the independent assessment of sustainable corporate processes and supply chains is becoming increasingly important.

Strong results in all assessment areas
In this year's rating, Flender achieved 91 points in the area of environment, 89 points in labor and human rights, and 86 points each in the categories of ethics and sustainable procurement. The EcoVadis assessment considers both management systems and policies as well as their practical implementation in the company.
Measures that contributed to the assessment include, among other things, the use of waste heat at the Bocholt site. By using a powerful heat pump, waste heat from the hardening operation is reused. This allows approximately 2.4 million kilowatt-hours of natural gas to be saved annually and about 400 tons of CO₂ emissions to be avoided.
In addition, activities in the areas of employee development, belonging, and compliance are included in the assessment. Examples include the Global Learning Week, the initiative 'Enjoying Together', as well as regular training and processes to ensure high standards in the areas of integrity, compliance, and sustainable procurement.
Sustainability as part of corporate culture

'The renewed placement among the best one percent of all companies rated by EcoVadis confirms our commitment to consistently connect sustainability with economic success. The result is a collective achievement of our employees worldwide and shows that responsible action is firmly established in our corporate culture,' says Andreas Evertz, CEO of the Flender Group.
'EcoVadis does not evaluate individual projects but the systematic integration of sustainability across all areas of the company. Therefore, this award is primarily evidence of the daily commitment of our teams worldwide and the continuous development of our processes,' says Kimberley ten Broeke, Head of CSR at Flender.
The current result underscores the high quality of Flender's sustainability management and strengthens transparency along the entire value chain. At the same time, the assessment supports the company's customers in meeting their own sustainability requirements and regulatory obligations.
