TRUMPF announces a new laser cutting machine with significantly higher laser power at the EuroBLECH trade fair. The new 'TruLaser 8000 Power Edition' operates with a 50-kilowatt fiber laser – more than double the highest laser power previously offered in the TRUMPF portfolio for machine tools. 'As one of the market and technology leaders in the field of machine tools, we are setting new standards with the TruLaser 8000 Power Edition. It delivers particularly high laser power while maintaining high precision, cutting speed, processing quality, and process reliability. This combination is unique in the market for sheet metal manufacturing,' says Martin Blaschke, product manager at TRUMPF.

The machine is precise and productive even at high laser power
The new laser cutting machine from TRUMPF offers users in construction and stainless steel processing clear advantages starting from a material thickness of ten millimeters. Its strength lies not only in the high laser power but especially in translating this into high cutting quality, stable processes, and economical processing.

'High-power laser cutting machines have been on the market for many years. However, it is crucial to effectively transfer the available power into the material. Only a few providers achieve this. Thanks to our core competence in laser technology and machine tool construction, we have developed a solution that combines high productivity with the precision and robustness typical of TRUMPF,' says Blaschke.

More transparency for increased productivity

Just like the new generation of cutting machines TruLaser 5000, which TRUMPF is showcasing for the first time at EuroBLECH, the TruLaser 8000 Power Edition also features numerous functions that provide more transparency in everyday manufacturing. Several integrated cameras offer insights into the entire machine interior, the cutting process, and the pallet changer.

The live images can be accessed remotely and enable users to quickly identify causes of disruptions and intervene purposefully. Additionally, users can view live streams and data from other machines via an extra screen on the control panel. This creates a central dashboard for manufacturing that clearly consolidates machine status, remaining runtimes, and current events. Camera images and real-time notifications immediately show where action is needed. This allows employees to respond more quickly, reduce unplanned downtimes, and manage multiple machines simultaneously. Detailed evaluations of machine utilization also reveal potentials to specifically improve operation, availability, and productivity.

Suitable for demanding cutting tasks in thick sheet metal

The TruLaser 8000 Power Edition processes sheets with dimensions ranging from 3 x 1.5 meters to 8 x 2.5 meters, depending on the format. It is particularly suitable for companies looking to expand their processing spectrum to include thicker materials while meeting the highest quality requirements. Typical application areas include heavy machinery and plant engineering, steel service centers, the defense industry, and infrastructure projects. Here, material thicknesses of up to 80 millimeters can be processed precisely and productively.

Market launch starts at EuroBLECH 2026. In April 2027, TRUMPF will also present the TruLaser 8000 Power Edition at the in-house trade fair INTECH.
