The special exhibition 'Non-Contact Measurement Technology' has established itself in recent years as a communication platform and marketplace for innovations among exhibitors and trade fair visitors alike and is an integral part of the Control fair. The performance and flexibility of modern systems are constantly growing. Increasingly larger measurement ranges are being covered, and new application fields are being explored, making it challenging for users to orient themselves in the market. Therefore, the special exhibition provides guidance in selecting the appropriate technology to address their testing tasks.
As every year, the latest developments and innovative measurement and testing systems that operate on a non-contact principle will be presented. The focus will be on testing or measuring external or visible characteristics of components or materials. Relevant technologies include light sectioning, stripe projection, white light interferometry, holography, time of flight, or confocal measurement methods. Additionally, measurement and testing techniques operating in the non-visible part of the wavelength spectrum for materials, such as thermography, X-ray, ultrasound, or terahertz, as well as spectroscopic methods like hyperspectral imaging, will also be featured.
Last but not least, the special exhibition also provides an opportunity to showcase exhibits on the topics of 'Artificial Intelligence' and 'Machine Learning' in the field of image processing, as there is a significant information need from potential users in this area. The special exhibition 'Non-Contact Measurement Technology' at the Control fair is jointly organized by the office of the Fraunhofer Business Unit Vision, Fürth, and P. E. Schall GmbH & Co. KG, Frickenhausen.
