TRUMPF ended the fiscal year better than expected. After three years of declining order intake and two years of falling sales, the signs are now pointing to recovery. According to preliminary calculations, the company achieved a revenue slightly above the previous year's level of 4.34 billion euros (fiscal year 2024/25: 4.33 billion euros) and an order intake of 4.5 billion euros (previous year: 4.2 billion euros) in the fiscal year 2025/26 (cut-off date June 30, 2026). In its forecast last autumn, the company had anticipated stagnant to slightly increasing order intake as well as declining sales for the group.
The strongest individual market in the past fiscal year was the USA, which saw a significant increase in sales for TRUMPF. Revenue rose by around 16 percent to about 760 million euros (previous year: 661 million euros). In the home market of Germany, however, revenue fell by 6 percent to around 660 million euros (previous year: 700 million euros). Despite a further decline in sales of 7 percent, China remained the strongest individual market in Asia with around 450 million euros in revenue (previous year: 482 million euros).
The increased order intake makes us optimistic for the current fiscal year, in which we expect further growth,” said TRUMPF CEO Nicola Leibinger-Kammüller. “Despite the necessary caution, we are basing our outlook on the last few months on a slight economic turnaround in our business. Despite the difficult geopolitical framework conditions, TRUMPF has managed to make gains in all business areas. This applied to the business with machine tools and lasers as well as electronics and EUV with our partner ASML, which significantly benefited from the increased demand for semiconductors. The fact that the USA was once again the strongest individual market and replaced Germany in this role demonstrates the growth dynamics in many markets worldwide. Additionally, we have made significant progress in important development projects such as laser-based drone defense.
As of the cut-off date January 1, 2000, the number of TRUMPF employees worldwide was 16,960. In Germany, around 8,200 employees were active, of which about 5,350 were at the headquarters in Ditzingen.
