The Supervisory Board of CHIRON Group SE appoints Roman Gaida as the new Chief Executive Officer of the international engineering group effective July 1, 2026. With this personnel decision, the Supervisory Board sets clear impulses for the international development of the company, the deepening of its customer orientation, and the consistent focus on profitable growth.

"With Roman Gaida, the CHIRON Group gains a CEO who combines strategic clarity, international leadership experience, and deep technical competence," explains Dr. Armin Schmiedeberg, Chairman of the Supervisory Board. "His professional journey – from a foundation in CNC machining to responsible leadership positions and the global management of international organizations – makes him a valuable and forward-looking addition to our leadership team."

Roman Gaida began his professional career in 1999 with an apprenticeship as a machinist and subsequently worked in this profession for several years. In parallel, he completed further training as a mechanical engineering technician. He then pursued a degree in industrial engineering as well as an MBA at RWTH Aachen. Throughout his career, he has held various leadership positions in technology, sales, business development, and general management at internationally active technology companies. His professional stations include the Wieland Group, OC Oerlikon Balzers, and Mitsubishi Electric, where he led the CNC business in the EMEA region. Most recently, he was Chief Sales Officer at Bürkert Fluid Control Systems, responsible for global sales, marketing, and service operations.

"I am very much looking forward to working with Roman Gaida on the Group Executive Committee. His extensive international sales experience, deep market knowledge, and structured understanding of global customer needs will provide valuable impulses for our organization. Especially in the interplay between sales, technology, and operational implementation, we expect a strong enhancement for the further development of our business," says Markus Unterstein, CFO and spokesperson for the Group Executive Committee a.i.

With his appointment, Mr. Gaida takes on overall responsibility for CHIRON Group SE and will also lead global sales in the future. In the first months, he will familiarize himself with processes, markets, and customer expectations at international locations as part of his onboarding.

The Supervisory Board aims with this appointment to further develop CHIRON Group into a mechanical engineering solution partner for its customers, expand the digital and automation business, broaden international market engagement, and clearly align the group's strategy towards profitable business areas in the future.
