Allrounder for surface measurement technology

Roughness and contour check in one pass

25551

Mahr expands its portfolio of manual surface measuring devices with the MarSurf SD 140 AG 11, which can test both roughness and contour characteristics – all in just one measurement pass. The measuring station offers easy handling while ensuring reliable quality assurance through high functionality. Thus, it is also suitable as an entry-level model in stationary surface measurement technology.

The heart of the MarSurf SD 140 AG 11 is the newly developed tactile sensing system. This can capture the measurement values for roughness and contour simultaneously, which the software then evaluates separately. The measuring range of the probe arm is 10 mm (100 mm probe arm) and 25 mm (200 mm probe arm), with the measuring force adjustable via software from 0.7 mN to 30 mN.

Users also save time with the tool-free probe arm quick-change function of the sensing system, allowing them to quickly switch to another measurement task without recalibrating the exchanged probe arm. The electronic probe recognition and automatic probe force selection provide even more security. This guarantees the correct (contact) force when switching between multiple probe tips.

Additionally, the MarSurf SD 140 AG 11 offers a defined starting position with aligned axis. The clamping system, with its 390 x 450 mm large mounting plate and 50 mm hole grid, allows for flexible and quick use of various workpiece fixtures and clamping tools.
