Thomas Hary (44), a German citizen, has been working at GF in various roles since 2005. He began his career in strategic planning at GF Machining Solutions and moved to GF Piping Systems in 2011. In early 2014, he was appointed CFO of the Business Unit Americas. In 2016, he took on the role of CFO at GF Casting Solutions. From October 1, 2019, to December 2023, he was CFO of GF Piping Systems. Since January 2024, he has been leading the Business Unit Industry/Utility at GF Piping Systems. Thomas Hary holds a Master of Science degree in Business Administration and Economics from the University of Mannheim (Germany).
With his career in three divisions and his extensive experience in various business areas, Thomas Hary brings extensive market and product knowledge to his new role. He possesses deep know-how of GF Piping Systems, which he has built over many years in various leadership roles in operational and financial areas. Thomas Hary has also played a key role in strengthening global collaboration between the international teams and local organizations of GF.
As president of GF Piping Systems, Thomas Hary will be a member of the executive board of GF, led by CEO Andreas Müller. Other members include CFO Mads Joergensen and division presidents Michael Rauterkus (GF Building Flow Solutions), Carlos Vasto (GF Casting Solutions, currently under strategic review), and Ivan Filisetti (GF Machining Solutions, currently in the divestment process).
