This add-on addresses the many challenges of sheet metal inspection in industries such as metalworking, automotive engineering, and aerospace. This software solution enables measurements of sheet metal parts with unprecedented accuracy and repeatability for 3D laser scanners, giving quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) professionals greater confidence in their 3D scan data. Measuring thin sheet metal with 3D scanners has previously been anything but easy and highly dependent on the user and the set resolution. Now, results from the new Sheet Metal Add-on are generated independently of the user. It quickly provides accurate and repeatable information on all sheet metal features such as edges, holes, slots, rectangular openings, and cut edges.
