PI (PROFIBUS & PROFINET International) will present a new machine engineering demonstration at the Hannover Messe 2025 at the PI joint stand in Hall 9/D68. The innovative trade fair model combines an advanced conveyor platform with a precise robot application – an ongoing and constantly evolving challenge to meet increasing demands.
The conveyor platform is based on SuperTrak technology, which enables both highly dynamic and precise movements through the use of magnetic technology while also offering high flexibility. Individually controllable shuttles are moved along a transport rail by linear motors. The articulated robot is synchronized with a pick-and-place application to these transport movements. The integration of PROFINET, PROFIdrive, and PROFIsafe ensures reliable and safe communication, which forms the basis both in the individual sub-areas and in the interaction of the components.
The interplay of PI technologies ensures optimal coordination of all movements and guarantees safe processes.
With PROFINET and the corresponding profiles and applications, automation technology is further developed. The combination of advanced technology, high precision, and comprehensive compatibility makes PROFINET a preferred solution for demanding industrial applications.
